ABOUT PHIL
Growing up in rural Co. Tyrone I always loved being connected to an environment that gave me space to grow and learn. Since a young age, I have been fascinated by people who are masters of their craft. Watching my father expertly handle a spade, (just like Seamus Heaney described in his famous poem 'Digging') and wanting to master whatever I had in my hand, I have devoted much of my personal and professional life to understanding the practices that underpin excellence .
Resistant to being confined to one thing, I have integrated learning from different spheres and have applied these principles when working with some of the best athletes and performers in the world. I had the honour of being Chief Physiotherapy Officer for the most successful British Olympic Team in history at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. I am recognised as a leader in supporting high performance programmes and regularly present at international conferences on areas related to leadership and return to performance.
